A Real Vermeer
Talented and young Han van Meegeren can be a rebel from the Amsterdam art-scene of the early 1920. Critics find his job old-fashioned because he paints from the style of his Rembrandt and Vermeer plus they call him a copycat. Merely to prove a point, he produces a Vermeer and attempts to pass it off. It works. Rather than revealing the facts and thereby embarrassing the art world, he continues to earn money off of the forgeries. He is caught in a web of lies and deceit, along with also his life spins out of control. Then one afternoon, high ranking Nazi Hermann Göring knocks on his door, searching to get a Vermeer for his private collection...
