An American Affair
In the early 1960s, a young man named Adam Stafford, played by Cameron Bright, develops an unhealthy fixation on his new neighbor, Catherine Caswell, played by Gretchen Mol, who is a divorced free spirit. Stafford follows Caswell around while she has meetings with odd guys, and against the cautions of his traditional parents, he starts working as a gardener for her. Caswell is unaware of Stafford's involvement. The two become close amidst accusations that she had an affair with President Kennedy, which led to the speculation that she had an affair with him. However, political intrigue around her contacts eventually interferes with their connection.
