Pocho Martin's body is discovered on the shores of a fishing town, dead from drowning. As reported by Ramiro, Pocho has been assassinated, which raises the suspicions of the Commissioner Carlos, who investigates. When young Silvia, Pocho's companion, learns of the tragic news, she becomes preoccupied with thoughts of her upcoming wedding to Andy. Crackpot Oscar tells Carlos about the perilous sirens of Deer Island, wicked ladies that lure seafarers to the island and then slaughter them. On the island, Ramiro and Carlos come across the sisters Lila and Mary, who own and operate a tavern/brothel along the beach. Even though Carlos and Lila are old pals who are happy to see each other again, the murder of Pocho remains unsolved.
