Hushpuppy, an girl, lives with her dad, Wink at'the Bathtub', a irrigation community. She is prepared by the tough-love of wink for the unraveling of the world --for a time when he is no longer there to protect her. When Wink contracts a mysterious illness, temperament flies out of whack--the icecaps melt , releasing a army of ancient animals called aurochs, and temperatures rise. With Wink's health evaporating, the aurochs arriving, and the waters rising, Hushpuppy goes searching for her mother.
