Something black has come to the shores of Erin Island, unbeknownst to the population with the fishing village perched someplace off Ireland's shore. To begin with, some anglers proceed lost. Then there is the rash of whale carcasses washing upon the shore. After the murders start, it's around two mismatched cops -- a unkind alcoholic along with his new partner, a by-the-book woman from the mainland -- to defend the townsfolk from the giant tentacled aliens who prey upon them. Their weapon is booze. If they would like to live the animals' onslaught, everyone might have to get very, very drunk!
