Pacific Rim
After legions of monstrous monsters started rising from the ocean, a war began consume the resources of humanity for decades on end and that would take millions of lives. To combat the Kaiju, a special type of weapon has been invented robots, called Jaegers, which 2 pilots whose minds are secured at a pathway control simultaneously. However, the Jaegers are currently demonstrating nearly defenseless facing the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending humanity have no choice but to show to two unlikely personalities --a washedup former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an undercover trainee (Rinko Kikuchi)--who are teamed to drive a mythical but apparently obsolete Jaeger from the past. They stay as humankind's last hope against the apocalypse that is mounting.
