Passion
Maja Borg, a film artist, investigates two rites of passage: BDSM and Christianity, having exited a toxic relationship. When it comes to their ability to heal, religion and subculture appear to be worlds apart at first appearance. However, this may not be the case. In order to get back to her core, Borg explores the European queer scene and the Christian legacy of northern Europe while confronting herself and her very personal experiences in a dark and theatrical manner. In the movie "Passion," passion and sorrow are two sides of the same complex situation. Its transcendental imagers allow literary and cinematic traditions to converge in a ceremonial whole. The meetings throughout the movie, in which Borg is tested both physically and spiritually, are given a human dimension by the abstractions. And perhaps on a psychological and perhaps even spiritual level, it is precisely this humanity that reveals to be the link between theology and BDSM.
