Strike
The movie depicts a strike in 1903 by the workers of their suppression, along with a factory in pre-revolutionary Russia. The movie is most famous for a sequence near the end in which the violent putting from this strike is cross-cut with footage of cattle being slaughtered, even though there are a number of other things in the movie at which creatures function as metaphors for the terms of varied individuals. Another motif in the film will be collectivism in resistance to individualism which was viewed as a tradition of film that is western.
