The Final Countdown
In 1980, the US Navy warship, the USS Nimitz, is caught during regular maneuvers in the Pacific in a storm. Enveloped by a light that is green, the ship passes through a vortex so when they emerge, their communications are cut off. The Captain of the ship sends a patrol and the F-14 pilots are somewhat stunned to encounter vintage warplanes.
