After a political demonstration goes wrong, Dorothy, a liberal speechwriter on a united state Senate project, finds herself out of work and living back in her conventional Texas hometown with her separated grandfather. Dorothy soon finds out that her childhood years nemesis, Brent, is competing workplace as the single Republican politician prospect. Figured out to prevent him at any cost, Dorothy develops a fancy payback plan with the help of an old frenemy turned campaign supervisor, Greta: she'll go covert to run as his traditional challenger, win the nomination, and after that employ a Texas technicality that would certainly force a win for the Democratic candidate. Immersed in the project, Dorothy gets closer to victory, only to find that great vs. evil isn't always as basic as left vs. right.
