The Landlord
At the age of 29, Elgar Enders "runs away" from home. This "getting away" consists of buying a building in a black ghetto in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn. At first, his plan was to kick out the black tenants and turn the building into a fancy apartment. But Elgar is not the type to be tied down by what he wanted yesterday, and soon he has other things on his mind.
