Sometime in the near future, paraplegic prison inmate Matt Mills matches"The Board" of both Satoshi-Telefair Industries, that thank him for joining the App. Under some pressure and a promise to allow him walk again, Mills agrees to volunteer. He is injected with a synthetic nanomaterial and suffocated to wake up with revived use of his legs, yet alone in the first spoke of an apparatus in a steel cell - The hanger. A string of assailants inflict a variety of damage to Mills' body and agony his head, yet the synthetic nanomaterial perhaps not merely calms his damaged organs, it re-engineers his strength. The experimentation might be supposed to kill, but Mills is determined to survive and contact his daughter before The Board finds out her first.
