Outside the town of Aveyron, France, there has been a boy situated in 1798. Diagnosed as impaired, he is relegated into an asylum. A new doctor named Jean Itard, that focuses on the instruction of deaf mutes and ear-nose-throat physiology, becomes convinced that the boy gets mental capacity, but that his development was hindered by lack of contact with society.
