This American narrative had been first written in 1900 Hollywood movie director, a Chicago businessman, journalist, chicken breeder, celebrity, boutique operator, by L Frank Baum and fan of most things technological and innovative. His life spanned an era of remarkable invention and achievement in the united states and many of these developments helped fuel the imagination of that this excellent storyteller. His dream was to make the very first genuine American fairytale and inspire the narrative continues to fascinate and engage millions of fans of all ages from all over the globe. This documentary explores the way the Wonderful Wizard of Oz has come to symbolise the American Dream and includes previously unseen footage by the Baum family archives, still clips and photographs by early Oz films, in addition to interviews with family members, literary pros and American historians as it tells the story of a single individual's lifetime in parallel into the evolution of modern America.
