Ayla: The Daughter of War
In 1950, amidst the ravages of the Korean War, Sergeant Süleyman depended upon a little girl that is half-frozen, with no help in sight and no parents. Fearful and on the point of departure, this girl captures the heart of Süleyman, that risks his own life to save her, then smuggling her into his Army base and from harms way. Maybe not knowing her name and not able to keep in touch with her, Süleyman titles her Ayla, in reminiscence of the moon on the fateful night during. The two form an instantaneous and introverted bond, and Ayla attracts an uncanny joy into the brigade at the grasp of war. As the war comes to a close however, the brigade of Süleyman is told that they will return home. Süleyman does all within his power to shoot her, and can not tolerate abandoning Ayla. After failure, he is made to offer Ayla into an orphanage, but doesn't give up the expectation of one day. Can the two ever get back together?
