Ayn Rand was created in St. Petersberg, Russia, in 1905. In1926, while Soviet Communism was on the rise, she fled to America. She spent the rest of her life in the US, where she wrote The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged and gained widespread acclaim. Her life's work would center on the concepts of individuality and freedom.
