Cold War

They state hongkong is the city in Asia. But to night, a police van was hijacked together with the arms, equipment and the five officers aboard, among those hostages being the sole son of police deputy commissioner M.B. Lee! Together with the principal commissioner off on a summit over seas, the fiery Lee immediately takes control of the rescue operation -- codenamed"Cold War" -- but the cryptic kidnappers clearly know the police procedures and so are therefore at a beneficial position. Objecting into Lee's aggressive but useless methods, one other commissioner Sean Lau steps in to lead the performance. But Lau's careful plan to work out a deal with the kidnappers eventually ends up a failure, losing the $50 million cash ransom and the life of his lieutenant in the approach. Meanwhile, the ICAC (Independent Commission Against Corruption) begins to investigate Lau and Lee on suspicion of getting hidden ties into the kidnappers...
