Eat Drink Man Woman

The movie tells the story of a widowed Chinese master chef Chu (Si Hung Lung) and his relatives living in modernday Taipei, Taiwan. At the start of the film, he lives with his three attractive daughters, most of whom are unattached. As the film progresses, the daughters each encounter new men in their lifetimes. The stereotypes are broken and also the living situation within the family changes, when these connections blossom. . The movie comprises scenes displaying the methods and artistry of gourmet Chinese cooking. The intricate groundwork of feast quality dishes for their Sunday dinners is the surrogate for their casual feelings since the relatives have difficulties expressing their love for eachother.
