Empire of Passion

A young man has an older woman. Jealous of her husband, he vows to murder him. They strangle the spouse and throw his body down a well one night after he drank a lot of sake. She pretends her husband is working in Tokyo to avoid suspicion. A covert love affair lasts three years. Finally, suspicions grow and people start speculating. Worse, her husband's spirit haunts her, and the cops arrive to investigate his disappearance.
