Eyewitness

Daryll Deever works as a janitor in a New York City office building and is a huge fan of Tony Sokolow, a television news reporter. When a wealthy man is assassinated in Daryll's building, Tony is called in to cover the news, and Daryll introduces himself to Tony. Tony pursues him, believing he may be connected to the crime, and he pretends to be in order to maintain contact with her. The killers are observing them while they play this game, figuring Daryll and Tony are both more knowledgeable about the crime than they are.
