F for Fake
Records the lives of fakers that are infamous Clifford Irving and Elmyr de Hory. By selling works of art by painters like Matisse and Picasso, de Hory, who later committed suicide in order to avert more prison time, made his name. Irving was infamous for writing a fake autobiography of Howard Hughes. Welles goes between documentary and fiction since he examines the components of fraud and also the individuals who commit fraud at the expense of others.
