Hot Sugar's Cold World

Nick Koenig, aka Hot Sugar, is in a hot wreck. Considered a modern-day Mozart, the young musician/producer records that are electronic sounds from everyday life--by dangling receivers that are payphone to Hurricane Sandy rain--and then rebounds, samples and loops them to grammy-award --nominated beats. He is living the life every musician dreams of, detailed with an internet-phenom girlfriend, rapper/singer"Kitty." However, when he is dumped by her Hot Sugar is put adrift. Fleeing to Paris, he tries to regroup, trying to find new sounds and also an awareness of self. Film maker Adam Lough combines scenes of Hot Sugar in the office on his own vintage apparatus with reflections that are soul searching that are surprising he offers to the camera.
