In the Family

Chip Hines is six years old and has only known life with his two dads, Cody and Joey. He lives in the town of Martin, Tennessee. And it's a good life. Cody's sudden death in a car accident makes it hard for Joey and Chip to get back on their feet. Cody's will shows that he chose his sister to be Chip's guardian, just as they are starting to get along. When Chip is taken away from Joey, all the years of him being a part of the family fall apart. Joey looks for a solution at home, where he is now living alone. The law is against him, but his friends are on his side. Joey finds a way to make peace with his family and get closer to his son with the help of Cody's memories.
