It Is Not the Homosexual Who Is Perverse, But the Society in Which He Lives
A young man named Daniel, who grew up in the countryside and moved to the city, navigates the various LGBT subcultures of the city. On the streets of Berlin is where the timid brunette Daniel first meets the blond Clemens. Clemens welcomes Daniel to his home for coffee and offers him a place to stay. This is where his adventures begin. Soon, Daniel will be moving in with Clemens, and he will be convinced that he has finally met the person he will spend the rest of his life with. Both their relationship and their lifestyle are attempts to mimic a bourgeois marriage. But after four months of tedium, Daniel is cruised by a wealthy older man who entices him to move into his villa. There, he encounters a group of older gay men who are pretentious in their appreciations of fine art and classical music, and they fawn over him. Daniel eventually leaves the villa because he is sick of the attention.
