Jeannette: The Childhood of Joan of Arc
France, 1425. In the midst of the Hundred Years' War, the young girl Jeannette, who is only 8 years old at the time, tends to her sheep in the quaint little village of Domremy. One day, she confides in her close friend Hauviette how much she is unable to stand witnessing the anguish that the English are causing. A nun by the name of Madame Gervaise tries to talk some sense into the little girl, but Jeannette is ready to take up arms for the sake of the salvation of souls and the emancipation of the Kingdom of France. To the extent that her faith sustains her, she will eventually become Joan of Arc.
