Long Live My Happy Head
It's surprising to find such an upbeat film about living with terminal cancer. Gordon's diagnosis occurred eight years ago, and since then, he's been working through his emotions and worries through the medium of LGBT comic comics. He uses humor to break down barriers that people have about talking about death and illness, and he incorporates many of the amazing caregivers and nurses he meets into his vividly drawn universe. It's a long-distance love story between Edinburgh, Scotland, and Virginia, United States, and it's sage, sweet, and energizing. Gordon has a lot to teach us about love, life, and death.
