My Kingdom
In the 19th century, the Qing Dynasty's Prince Regent orders the wholesale murder of the Meng clan. Before he is beheaded, the chieftain pledges that his family will seek vengeance for this injustice. Erkui, a five-year-old Meng child, courageously sings an aria as he awaits his demise. Master Yu, an opera singer, and Guan Yilong, his seven-year-old student, are moved by the strength and purity of his voice. The youngster is rescued by Master Yu, and the two orphans are united as brothers. Years later, Master Yu receives the coveted golden "The Mightiest Warrior" plaque from the Prince Regent, only to lose it in a duel against his archrival Master Yue. Master Yu spends his time training the two boys in the village after being banished from the stage following a defeat. When the lads reach adulthood, they travel to Shanghai in search of vengeance. Once they arrive in Shanghai, they quickly defeat Master Yue, reclaiming not only the plaque, but also his opera group.
