Ninth Happiness

Choi Hung is a village filled with innocents who sing and work. The town's beauty, Chi Wan, falls in love with a stranger she believes to be a fairy after seeing him in the woods. He pursues her while concealing his true identity, consulting her sister, Heung, who suggests he purchase Chi Wan a fan. Chi Wan and Heung's boyfriend, Dup, mistakenly believe the stranger and Heung are romantically linked, resulting in irrational jealousy. Two brothers, the new town official and his brutish enforcer, are also new to town; they cannot believe there is no graft and corruption to profit from, so they attempt to open a brothel. They chase Chi Wan as well. Could everything be resolved? Will innocence prevail? Who is this unknown individual?
