Nostalgia
The poet Andrei Gorchakov, followed by translator and direct Eugenia, is travel researching the life of an 18thcentury Russian composer. In an early spa town, he and the lunatic Domenico, who years earlier had their own family in his house for seven years to save them meet. Seeing some truth in the act of Domenico, Andrei becomes interested in him. In a string of fantasies, the poet's nostalgia for his homeland and his longing for his wife, his feelings for Eugenia and Italy, and his own feeling of kinship with Domenico eventually become intertwined.
