Jerry Day and his beautiful wife Toni have different ideas about how they should live. Jerry can't handle being responsible, but Toni wants a family and a stable life. Then Jerry's daughter Pennie, who had been living with the family of his rich, dead wife, is "found" by the Days. Pennie seems to be just what Jerry needs to stop being a crook and start living a good life. Even though Jerry has a new family to take care of, he gives in to the corruptible influence of jewelry thief Felix Evans. When Evans gets Jerry to take a job, it threatens Jerry's new family life.
