Pelle the Conqueror

The conclusion of the 19th century. A boat filled with Swedish emigrants concerns the island of Bornholm. One of these are Lasse along with his son Pelle who go on to find work. They find employment but are treated as the lowest type of life. Pelle starts to speak Danish however is still plagued as a foreigner. But none of them really wants to offer up their dream of finding a life that is better .
