Poison

Outsiders, sex, and violence are the themes of three intercut stories. Richie kills his father and flees at the age of seven in "Hero." Following the shooting, a documentary in cheesy lurid colors explores Richie's personality and the events leading up to the shooting. In the black-and-white film "Horror," a scientist extracts the elixir of human sexuality, drinks it, and transforms into a festering, contagious murderer; a female colleague who loves him tries to help, but to her danger. In "Homo," a prisoner at Fontenal is drawn to a convict he knew at Baton juvenile institute years previously and who he observed being humiliated. Except for the dazzling flashbacks, this story is told in a low light.
