Prick Up Your Ears

This drama focusing on controversial British playwright Joe Orton is directed by stephen Frears, revealed after his murder in flashback by lover Kenneth Halliwell. Born in 1933 at Leicester, at the English Midlands,'' John'Joe' Orton appreciates an openly gay relationship with Halliwell inside their famous Islington flat from the 1960s, also moves into London in 1951, to research at RADA. When spectacular success is achieved by Orton with such plays 'What the Butler Saw' and'Loot', Halliwell begins to feel alienated and the pair's future looks increasingly uncertain.
