Rookie of the Year
Henry Rowengartner, whose father was a minor league baseball player, grew up dreaming of playing baseball, despite his physical shortcomings. The limb at that arm heals closely, allowing Henry to throw pitches which are as fast as 103 mph after Henry's arm is broken while wanting to catch a baseball in school. Henry is seen at local Wrigley Field by Larry"Fish" Fisher, the overall manager of the fighting Chicago Cubs, afterwards Henry strikes an opponent's home run ball most of the way by the outfield bleachers back to the catcher, and it appears that Henry might be the pitcher which team owner Bob Carson has been praying for.
