Bayou La Teche, located in Louisiana, is experiencing a frenzy of excitement as the local Cajun community prepares to celebrate the wedding of Splendid and Dolan. The conflict begins on the night of the wedding, when Splendid is adamant that she will never tell on her new husband. On the outskirts of town, Splendids' cousin is dealing with her own set of issues. Her man has been hooking up with Thais, the town's most notorious prostitute. She walks into the Tiger Cafe armed with a rifle in the hopes of reclaiming her boyfriend.
