Seat in Shadow
In order to get Ben back on track with a relationship, his grandmother suggests that he meet Albert, a reclusive painter from Glasgow who also happens to be a Jung-inspired psychiatrist. During their meetings, Albert learns as much about Ben as Ben learns about Albert in this twisted, sexually explicit comedy. Seat in Shadow" was written and directed by Henry Coombes, who shot the film on location in Glasgow. In addition to the Edinburgh International Film Festival and the Berlin International Film Festival, the film was also shown at the British Film Institute's BFI Flare. The line between doctor and patient, artist and muse, blurs in this satirical examination of social mores and sexual excess.
