Sweeney Killing Sweeney

Sweeney, the "Character King," an aging local standup comedian, is offered a spot on a national TV show based in Los Angeles. The sole stipulation is that Sweeney must remove all regionally relevant material from his act, with the most important elements being his colorful Boston "characters," which have become a mainstay of his home field success. Sweeney makes the difficult decision to no longer play the roles. But, much to his chagrin, the characters "come to life" and seek vengeance, attempting to murder Sweeney.
