The Admiral: Roaring Currents

The film mainly follows the most famous 1597 Battle of Myeongryang throughout the Japanese invasion of Korea (1592-1598), at which the legendary Joseon admiral Yi Sun-sin managed to destroy a total of 133 Japanese warships with just 1 3 ships remaining within his command. The battle, which happened off the southwest coast of the Korean Peninsula, is regarded as one of Yi's greatest victories.
