The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman
New York journalist Jane Pittman, who has just turned 110, comes to Louisiana in February of 1962 to talk about the civil rights movement and how she feels about it. Tells him how she was a slave from the time she was a little girl until slavery was over. In between the chapters of her life, the current struggles of Black people in Bayonne, pushed on by Jimmy, are shown.
