The Cleansing

Set at a small village at 14th century Wales, Alice is just a sixteen year old girl who causing the plague which has ravaged the village, taking the lives of numerous, including Alice's personal father and is accused of being a witch. When it is demonstrated that Alice was hiding the infection of her mother, she's forced to watch The Cleanser, an ominous masked figure, brutally dispatch her mum. The city preacher and subjects her to five trials once she spurns his progress, and leader Tom has eyes for Alice. Escaping the evening with the help of her mommy's friend Mary, she discovers a healer's scenic hut and flees into the forest, along with his own past and allies to handle. He instructs her how to exact revenge, also nurses her back to health.
