The Climax
When his jealousy pushes him to the brink of mad obsession, Dr. Hohner (Karloff), the theatrical physician at the Vienna Royal Theatre, murders his mistress, the star soprano. After ten years, Hohner's old craze resurfaces when another young singer (Foster) reminds him of the late diva. Hohner is determined to keep her from singing for anyone other than him, even if it means permanently silencing her. In the final scene of the movie, the singer's fiancée (Bey) comes to her aid.
