The End of St. Petersburg
The End of Saint Petersburg (Russian: ??? a???-???????, translit. Konets Sankt-Peterburga) is a silent film directed by Vsevolod Pudovkin and produced by Mezhrabpom from 1927. The End of St Petersburg, commissioned to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the October Revolution, was to be Pudovkin's most recognized picture, cementing his reputation as a leading Soviet montage filmmaker. Along with Mother(1926) and Storm Over Asia(1927), the picture is part of Pudovkin's'revolutionary trilogy' (1928).
