The Geographer Drank His Globe Away

Victor Sluzhkin hints on as a teacher of geography in a second school in his native Perm (at the Urals) and gets lost in a haze of hard vodka, dire love for a nymphet-like student and the worries of instructing teenagers. Geographer, because the students dub Sluzhkin, tries to escape out of the dull, stultifying reality of the provincial life in a rafting tour of Russia to the Urals. Accompanied by adventure-seeking teens, faced with the grim surprises of this nature, Geographer is poised to find their own truth and himself.
