The Holy Mountain
A master leads different disciples and a Christ figure to your mountain of immortal men that are wise. The scandal of the 1973 Cannes Film Festival, the flood of sacrilegious vision of writer/director Alejandro Jodorowsky and existential symbolism in The Holy Mountain is actually a spiritual search for enlightenment. The Alchemist (Jodorowsky) builds together a group of people from all walks of life to symbolize the planets in the solar program. The occult adept's goal is to put his recruits through strange mystic rites before embarking on a trip to Lotus 29, and divest them of these worldly baggage. There they ascend the gods who rule the world to be displaced by the Holy Mountain.
