The House Where the Mermaid Sleeps

The Harima family consists of Kaoruko and Kazumasa Harima, a divorced couple with two children. When their daughter Mizuho starts elementary school, they intend to end their marriage and divorce. They were horrified to learn that their daughter had slipped into a coma following a near-drowning incident that occurred while she was at the pool. Her brain has been declared dead, and there is no hope for her recovery, so the pair must decide whether they should donate her organs to those who are in need or wait until their loved one's heart stops pumping before making a decision.
