Tae-su ultimately achieves his aim of becoming a prosecutor after attending Korea's most prominent law school against the country's democratic resistance. However, his life is no better than that of a salary man. By happenstance, he becomes part of a strong group of prosecutors who are both wealthy and well-connected. He finally gets a taste of what it's like to be at the top of the food chain, but he also sees the harsh side of it.
