The Legend of the Stardust Brothers
In 1985, Macoto Tezka (son of legendary manga creator Osamu Tezuka) met Haruo Chicada, a musician and TV personality who had created a soundtrack for a film that never existed: The Legend of the Stardust Brothers. Macoto was 22 years old at the time, a film student with a number of short experimental films under his belt but no feature debut, and the pressure of the TEZUKA name to contend with. Tezka subsequently converted this "fake soundtrack" into the genuine movie tale of "The Stardust Brothers," with Chicada as producer.
