The Organizer

In this darkly humorous Italian movie about mistreated industrial employees in Turin, Professor Sinigaglia (Marcello Mastroianni) plays the main character. These employees, who work in deplorable conditions at a textile mill, have no one to speak out for them until Sinigaglia risks his academic career by assisting them in organizing a strike. Despite the fact that the teacher is being investigated by unfriendly authorities, he remains committed to the cause of the workers.
