The Unsinkable Molly Brown
In the backdrop, there are majestic mountains, while in the foreground, there is a waterfall. On the river, is that a canoe? No, it's a baby's cradle. Molly Brown has triumphed over her first major setback: a flood. She sets off to make her way in the world sixteen years later. Does she have the ability to sing and play the piano? She tells the tavern proprietor in Leadville that she can and will learn rapidly. She will soon marry Johnny Brown, who will be able to replace the original cigar wrapper wedding ring with a duplicate in gold and gemstones in a few years. To be accepted by Denver society, though, it requires more than a few million bucks. The Browns travel to Europe and return to Denver with a few crowned heads for a party that devolves into a ballroom brawl. Molly travels to Europe on her own and returns on the Titanic. For the story to conclude here, she had to survive a flood as a baby.
