Uppercase Print
In 1981, chalk mottos written in uppercase letters started appearing in public spaces in the Romanian city of Boto?ani. They required freedom, mentioned the democratic advancements taking place in Romania's socialist sister countries or just required improvements in the food supply. Mugur C?linescu was behind them, who was still at school at the time and whose instance is recorded in the files of the Romanian secret authorities. Theatre director Gianina C?rbunariu produced a documentary play based upon this product.
